We're providing customers a chance to shred personal documents. Bring your documents to the Arvest Bank at 2389 N. College Ave., Fayetteville, Ark. 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016. Customers in line by 11 a.m. will not be turned away; they will be able to have their documents shredded.
“We get numerous requests for shredding services throughout the year,” said Karen Gray, vice president and marketing manager of Arvest Bank in Fayetteville. “We want to offer a safe and convenient way for customers to dispose of personal documents without exposing them to identify theft.”
Document drop off will be limited to five boxes per household. Staples and/or paper and binder clips do not need to be removed from documents for shredding.
However, papers do need to be removed from 3-ring binders as binders cannot be shredded. Cardboard, plastic, computer discs and CDs also cannot be shredded. Papers do need to be separated from other trash items, such as electronics and household trash.
Anyone with commercial documents and/or more than five boxes of documents may call Shred-It at (800) 697-4733 for commercial purge services.
