Arvest to Host Shred-A-Thon on Friday, Oct. 28 to Benefit Harrison Circle of Friends

Monday, October 24 at 02:22 PM

The following release is an announcement of an upcoming free event in Harrison, Ark. open to the public that can help protect you against becoming a victim of identity theft, one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States.  See below for details.

YELLVILLE, Ark. – Arvest Bank will be holding a Shred-A-Thon event on Friday, October 28, at the Hester Drive location in Harrison from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Arvest is partnering with Shred-it and KBCN radio to provide customers with an environmentally friendly way to discard unwanted paper and sensitive documents in a secure manner. Kids are invited to come “Trick or Treat” at Arvest during the Shred-a-Thon, and donations will be collected for the Harrison Regional Circle of Friends.

Circle of Friends is a statewide organization that coordinates different fundraising and outreach events to benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The Harrison chapter has raised over $106,000 in the past year, with over $50,000 coming from a local KBCN Radiothon.

“We’re so thrilled to be partnering with Shred-it and KBCN radio for this event. Our customers and the community always appreciate our Shred-A-Thon events, and this one provides them with both a safe way to dispose of documents and a safe place for their children to trick-or-treat all while helping out a great cause,” Tiffany Watkins, spokesperson for Arvest said.
