My fiance and I are currently renting a house kind of like a rent to own situation. The owners of the house would like to sell us the house as soon as possible. Neither one of us have ever bought a house, and this is the first place on our own together so we are new at it all. We really have no idea were to start with this. Do we have to have a down payment to purchase a house? We do not have any money saved up at all, and with them wanting to sell it to us soon it makes it even more difficult to have one. Also with the rent we have been paying, how would that work. Would the rent we paid just take off what they house is for? Also we both really don't have any credit could we even possible get a home loan?
