Alltel Wireless Now Supports Arvest Mobile Banking

Thursday, September 25 at 03:09 PM

As of September 24, Alltel has become a certified carrier for our mobile banking service.  Those who are Arvest Bank and Alltel Wireless customers may now use Arvest Mobile Banking on their Alltel mobile device.

The launch for Alltel as a certified carrier includes 29 of their most popular phones and data devices.  For more information on what phones are supported, visit our Arvest Mobile Banking website.  As more devices are added, we will keep the list up to date.

Signing up for Mobile Banking can be done inside (after you log in) of Arvest web banking, simply click the "Mobile Banking" tab across the top to get started.

There will be more updates as Alltel makes their official announcement early next week.

That is nice but.... how about a fix for the blackberry curve - latest (forced!) updated will not install and nothing odd on mine - is stock and standard. Last version worked great and was super-helpful! Now it downloads and fails no matter ... even with all permissions set to on. Am sorry to bring this up here but can not seem to find anywhere to submit a support ticket or anything.

Thank you for asking about this.   Unfortunately some BlackBerry users have encountered this problem.  Firethorn has implemented a fix, but it still can happen on some BB devices.  Here's more info below to help you troubleshoot:

Due to an upgrade of the Firethorn mobile banking service, Arvest Mobile Banking customers may be prompted to update their Mobile Banking software on their phone. BlackBerry users may encounter an error message during the required update. If this happens, please refer to the troubleshooting points below. If these do not resolve the download issue, please contact customer service at 866-952-9523.

  1. If for any reason the download is interrupted, you may be prompted for an Activation Code every time you log on until the update is completed. To get the Activation Code, you must go to the Mobile Banking User Site inside Arvest Banking On the Net. This is found by logging into web banking and then clicking on the "Mobile Banking" tab at the top of the screen.
  2. If, after the download you receive a "Data services unable to connect" message, edit your mobile Permissions by going to Settings ? Options ? Advanced Options ? Applications ? Mobile Banking. Select left soft key, Edit Permissions, if it says Custom, change to Allow. Exit and Save then proceed with Mobile Banking.
  3. During the upgrade process, there will be a screen that displays "The application Mobile Banking is attempting to invoke the browser to view go.mbanking.mobi. Would you like to allow this? Select Yes or No." You will need to select "Y" or the "Return" button on your keypad, instead of "Yes".
  4. If, after the download you receive "Error 907" or "Error 910" messages you may need to re-install the mobile banking software to ensure you have the proper version.
    1. Delete the application from the device and then remove the battery and replace after 2 to 3 minutes.
    2. Before reinstalling Mobile Banking, please delete any SMS messages stored on your phone that were previously sent by the mobile banking system.
    3. Reactivate the Mobile Banking application online and proceed with Mobile Banking. To reactivate Mobile Banking, you must go to the Mobile Banking User Site inside Arvest Banking On the Net. This is found by logging into web banking and then clicking on the "Mobile Banking" tab at the top of the screen.

Thank you sir! I would like to add that if anyone is getting a generic Download Failed message as I was go straight to step 4 of Jason's instructions. The new version is much more intuitive in design and the fonts are much easier to read.

Thanks again!

Generice wireless devices can be cheaper than those branded. What an economical way to invest.
