Sprint Wireless Now Supports Mobile Banking

Monday, December 08 at 12:10 PM

Arvest Bank and Sprint Wireless customers may now use Arvest Mobile Banking on their mobile device to check balances, make transfers and to initiate bill payments - all from their cell phone.

The launch for Sprint as a certified carrier includes 26 of their most popular phones and data devices.  Signing up for Mobile Banking can be done inside (after you log in) of Arvest web banking.  Simply click the "Mobile Banking" tab across the top to get started.

Arvest Mobile Banking is now supported by Alltel, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.  We will keep you updated for any news relating to TMobile or US Cellular.

For more information, visit our Mobile Banking website.  (Sprint information to be added soon)

Sprint has the least expensive plans of any national carrier, and has a growing number of subscribers that will benefit from this service.  This is very good news!

As of yet, there's no Sprint picks when entering Mobile Banking.   I'm anxious to get my Blackberry Curve to work with Arvest without using Opra mini.  Checking my account without a laptop is very nice.

Sprint and the Curve are listed in the device list when you go to sign up for Mobile Banking.

To sign up, log into your web banking and click the "Mobile Banking" tab along the top navigation, then the "Access Mobile Banking" button.  On the next screen, select "Add New Device" from the drop down menu and on the subsequent screen you can choose Sprint from the "Operator" list.  The Blackberry Curve will then be presented as an option.

If you have difficulty and want help walking through the process, please call Mobile Banking Customer Service at (866) 952-9523

I too was glad to see mobile banking come to Sprint.. However, I still can't access it. I have the HTC Touch (w/ Windows Mobile 6.1) I do know that this same phone is support through another carrier. When will it be available for Sprint? (the other Carrier is Verizon and the phone is the XV6900)

Thank you,

Edward - Thank you for the follow-up question.  We have contacted Firethorn, the mobile banking partner with Sprint and we have been told there are no current plans for Sprint to certify the HTC Touch for Mobile Banking.  Certification of devices is dependent on the carrier and at this time we believe they will not certify the HTC Touch and will direct customers to the HTC Touch Pro or the HTC Touch Diamond.   I am sorry they have no immediate plans to certify your device.

Thank you for your help in this matter. I really appreciate the effort on your part to get the answers, even tho' they weren't the ones I wanted to hear.. :). Its things like this that makes me happy in my decision to use Arvest in not only my banking but also for my mortgage.

Thank you,

Ed
